Neurodiversity and Fatherhood

Connecting Fathers in the Journey of Raising Neurodivergent Kids

Psychotherapy Group for Fathers of Neurodivergent Children

Led by Dr. Ben Morsa, this weekly psychotherapy group provides a supportive, collaborative space for fathers to explore and navigate the unique challenges of raising neurodivergent children, teens, and adults. In this group, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Connect with Other Fathers: Share experiences and build a sense of solidarity with other dads who understand the complexities of your journey.

  • Explore Your Parenting Experience: Reflect on the similarities and differences between your own emotional and developmental history and your child’s. This deeper insight can help you develop greater empathy and perspective.

  • Navigate the Evolving Landscape of Neurodiversity: Think together about how best to support your family in a rapidly changing paradigm, and find ways to adapt to the evolving needs of neurodivergent children at all stages of development.

  • Collaborate on Challenges: Share dilemmas and difficulties in a safe, nonjudgmental space, where you can brainstorm and consider new ways of framing problems and finding effective solutions.

  • Build Confidence and Empowerment: Strengthen your sense of self and parental confidence by reflecting on your strengths, learning from each other’s experiences, and cultivating a deeper understanding of your role as a father.

This group offers more than just practical advice—it is an opportunity to deepen self-awareness, explore emotions, and discover new ways to feel empowered in your role as a parent. Whether you are looking for support, a new perspective, or simply a safe place to share, this group can help you find the tools you need to navigate the emotional and relational complexities of raising a neurodivergent child.
